OSKA Bags Are Made of Real Leather –
and are always an excellent choice!
Leather is a natural product. Small irregularities such as scratches, tiny pigment stains or other natural markings make your bag one-of-a-kind. With the right care, your bag will become even more beautiful and individual. It will bring you joy for many years to come!
We use these qualities for our OSKA bags. They differ in look and feel:
Suede, nubuk leather, or split-leather distinguish between their sanded surfaces. They may feel soft (suede leather) or coarse (nubuck and split-leather).
Nappa leather stands out with its smooth and colour covered surface which is either plain or bicoloured. The two-colour effect gives the leather a colour depth while using two different colour layers.
Aniline leather has a matte surface which in contrast to nappa leather is not covered by colour pigments. The leather’s pebbled structure remains visible.
GOOD TO KNOW
In the beginning it is possible that some colour may rub off; the same may happen when the leather is wet so one should never place a wet bag on a light-coloured surface. In order to protect your bag, please use waterproofing spray before using it the first time.
It is essential that a wet bag dries at room temperature. Do not hang it in front of a radiator as this will make the leather stiff and brittle. Water drops should be wiped off of nappa leather immediately with a soft cloth so that the moisture cannot penetrate the leather.
Dirty or sticky patches should be carefully rubbed off of suede leather with a damp cloth, dried and brushed against nap of suede.
Please never treat your leather bag with solvents or chemical products as this may lead to discolouration.
In the event of heavy soiling, please contact a leather specialist at your dry cleaner.
