Lyocell-Linen Pikée

innovative pigment effects in dyeing, garment dyed, made in France

A picée is usually a cotton double weave with a relief pattern - alternately raised with recessed areas forming small checks.

Our Pikée is made of linen and TENCEL®, a cellulose fibre with high strength, low crease and a smooth, cool handle with a soft drape. It is produced in France by our specialist for trouser qualities. This is where it is traditionally located and so is the name of the fabric. It comes from the French: "piqué" meaning "lockstitch", since it looks quilted.

The flowing material in a velvety matt finish is nevertheless stable due to its weave and is thus ideal for summer trousers that are robust and drape at the same time. A special dyeing technique accentuates the surface structure. In the dying process, it is overdyed with dark pigments, which are then partially washed out. This generates a special colour depth and beautiful classic OSKA seam details.

In OSKA spring/summer collection 2019 you can find classic picée in plain white.
