FROM THE BEGINNING
the production process

The headquarters of our dye-works, wash-house and Opro GmbH Management in Sumperk (in the Czech Republic). About 60 employees work in different departments.

FABRIC INSPECTION

Before production begins, all fabrics and materials needed for production are examined. In one season up to 200.000 meters (656.000 feet) of fabric are manually scrutinized.

ATELIER

The designs and garment descriptions developed in Munich are passed on together with production specifications to the atelier and the sewing workshop.

PREPARATORY WORK & CUTTING

Every design is individually hand-cut by our pattern cutters according to its quality and tailored in our sewing depart-ment by qualified seamstresses.

NOTIONS

Each model’s notions, e.g. buttons, zippers, inlay strips, etc. are specified in close coordination with Design. Each piece is assigned the matching notion in accordance with its workmanship and colour.

IRONING

Every garment is ironed by hand after being sewn.

WASHING & DYEING

We wash and dye small quantities of 20 – 150 pieces for each shop in large machines. Every retailer receives his/her order from one dye bath. The washing process and dye finish influence the individual feel of each garment piece.

QUALITY CONTROL & SHIPPING

Manual examination in the final inspection. After being sewn, all garments undergo a final quality control before being packaged in hanging cartons and shipped to over 20 countries worldwide.
